Dolphins

                                                       Dolphins

A dolphin is a mammal that lives in the sea and some rivers.

They come to the surface to breathe air.

Dolphins are excellent swimmers and can often be seen leaping above the waves.

There are about 35 types dolphin and most grow to 3 meters in length.

Dolphins have little or no sense of smell.

They use taste to tell them about the foods they eat.

They can taste the water to see if there might be any bits of food or drifting nearby.

Dolphins sleep with one eye open.

They are warm blooded animals
